Arianna Benjamin has been in track for about five years is a thrower. During this year as a senior, Benjamin has broken two records. She has broken the shot-put record, which is forty feet five inches, and the discus record, which is one hundred and thirty-ninety feet.

“I was excited and relieved that my hard work paid off,” said Benjamin.

Benjamin worked on her lifting and form to make her a better thrower every day. She has been working to break the record for a very long time. Now that she finally has broken it, she has made her goal.

Her broken record opened doors for her in the future. Benjamin plans to continue track at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas.
