As soon as he graduates, James Brassfield, senior, plans to go enter the workforce as either  a electrician of heating and air or a mechanic. Brassfield decided on this job because he did not want to sit at a desk the whole time. Preferably, he wanted  to use his hands and be on his feet.

“I [want to go] straight into the workforce because I don’t really know what  I [want to] do and so I [want to]be prepared and intern. They will place me in a job for a year or two and if I like it, I’ll stick with it before I go to a college. I just have a lot of things I want to do, but[I’m] just not sure what route I [will] go ,” said Brassfield.

Taking  different, automobile and welding classes helps him prepare for his career.

Brassfield stated that his employers will also send him off to colleges, which helps him further within the workforce.

“To anyone saying they may need help, just find out what you like to do and find fun. As you decide ideas that you like and see if you can make that into a job fro yourself,” said Brassfield.
