With the baseball season starting, players and coaches are planning for the season ahead.

“Hopefully, from a record standpoint, we will win more than 17 games and we will go further into post-season play than we did last year,” said head coach Brandon Crisp.

To get further into the post-season, practice is a must for these student athletes.

“right now, I think the big thing is that we need to work on our pitching and we’ve done a really good job of that so far. [The guys]┬ábeing able to come out and work has been a huge positive,” said Crisp.

Crisp also hopes to make his athletes into better players and help them develop into collegiate level players.

The first game will be March 15 at Hamilton High School and on the 17 they will play in the Quincy Notre Dame Tournament.

The ultimate goal for the team this year is to play in the state championship game.
